They had the term Rank Ranking lots of artist, labels, sounds had a term like that such as Shabba Ranks, Ranking Joe, Cutty Ranks, close to Ranking Barnibus Collins a 70’s DJ. I guess in kid pecos youthful mind being Top Rank was laughing what the goal was for reggae sound. Believe Bob Marley & The Wailers cut the tune in my mind now with lyrics can only thing of the wailing vocals singing “Top Ranking” A few more selections on the vinyl sell of groove 1 includes a label kid pecos wants to feature “Roof International”.Some labels only put out a few special tunes the are good for the same type of vibe.
